- Contribute from a legal and business perspective to formulating strategic and policy direction for the Company and related entities
- Ensure that the required strategy, execution plans, operational metrics, policies, and tools are in place to achieve the Company’s objectives successfully
- Develop and communicate a value proposition and go-to-market plan for services and work with other internal/external stakeholders to execute these plans
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders, develop and maintain a roadmap for the Legal Services aligned with the Company’s objectives
- Assume the role of the primary point of contact within the organisation. This involves promptly addressing and preempting client needs, ensuring clients are well-informed about service progress, and nurturing consistent communication
- Examine, authorise, and compose agreements and legal documentation, ensuring alignment with all statutory and legal prerequisites.
- Manage project budgets meticulously, ensuring assignments are executed within agreed financial parameters.
- Deliver comprehensive legal advice and interpretations to the executive leadership, guaranteeing conformity with prevailing legal and regulatory obligations.
- Prepare and oversee financial budgets, forecasts, performance reports, and any other relevant information relating to the Legal department and keep the Board of Directors updated accordingly
- Formulate legal opinions and guide the management on broad-ranging issues as they arise, encompassing internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other internal departments to execute legal engagements, evaluations, or insights related to specific business domains.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to subordinate team members for efficient execution of client projects.
- Be an Ambassador for the Company by having a strong presence at events, conferences, panel discussions etc. and engage in third-party networking activities and organisation of business development/networking events.
- A minimum of 7 years working in a similar senior role
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese
- Must be a locally warranted Lawyer
