  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define a comprehensive strategy and process for embedded software testing.
  • Define and implement software testing strategies and processes for the unique requirements and challenges maritime embedded systems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on the selection of appropriate testing toolsets, evaluating the pros and cons of various options based on your knowledge and experience.
  • Lead the testing team in executing the agreed-upon strategy.
  • Establish guidelines for testing processes and documentation.
  • Mentor team members on testing best practices and tool usage.
  • Monitor testing effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing activities.
Who are we looking for?
  • Experienced Leader: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience leading automated testing efforts, with proven leadership skills in mentoring teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in automated testing toolsets such as Selenium, Jenkins, and Cucumber, coupled with strong Python scripting skills. Knowledge of Java and related languages is a plus.
  • Industry Insight: Understanding of maritime sector testing challenges, enabling tailored strategies for embedded systems projects.
  • Effective Communicator: Clear and collaborative communication skills, adept at conveying technical concepts to both team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Innovative Problem-Solver: Creative thinker with a commitment to driving continuous improvement and incorporating emerging technologies to enhance testing capabilities.

QualificationsExperience, skills and qualifications required:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automated testing, focusing on embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with multiple toolsets such as Selenium, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.
  • Strong Python scripting skills; familiarity with Java and related languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of leading testing efforts and mentoring team members.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in leading testing efforts for maritime systems or related industries.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, ASTQB) or relevant technologies.
