- Translate the Algae Ingredients strategy into a business development plan for the assigned segments and execute the plan
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities to materialize on the business objectives with support of the sales team
- In cooperation with product management set up and execute pricing strategies.
- Identify sustainable market opportunities to further develop the business.
- Translate customer needs to products and solutions in close cooperation with product management and R&D.
- Drive and support new product launches
- For selected break-through accounts act as sales/key account manager to start the business.
- Work together with Marketing and regional sales managers to implement marketing communication to drive business development
- Gather market and competitive information to support the regional and global strategy.
- Develop and roll out route to market for new segments/territories
- Build strong relations with key opinion leaders, key customers and distributors
- Work together with the technical & application team to train sales on the technical aspects, features, applicability and functionality of the NEW differentiated solutions and tools
- At least 10 years of experience in International B2B raw material or ingredient sales with a sustainability value proposition and key account management elements.
- Strong affinity with the assigned business segments, especially with Pet food and Terrestrials
- A business degree and/or a scientific degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Zoology or equivalent knowledge by experience.
