- Demand planning: Translate sales and business development plans, analyze trends and relevant data into a consensus forecast that will trigger the supply plan.
- Supply planning and Inventory Management: Responsible to deliver a balanced supply plan that supports meeting the company targets for OTIF, working capital and efficiency, through working with the global supply planning and the site scheduling teams. Develop inventory management strategies.
- Developing new supply chains and supply strategies: Lead the development and set up of supply chains related to sourcing, production, storage and distribution activities, master data on a global scale.
- Site supply chain and regional Logistics: Develop strong interaction with leadership teams on the site(s) and worldwide Logistics teams to optimize execution of the supply plans, considering optimizing manufacturing capacity and lead times.
- S&OP: Responsible to organize, prepare and lead the monthly meetings prepare supply scenarios to address manufacturing constraints, procurement and/or logistics issues. Review longer term production capacity to anticipate outsourcing and/or capital planning and investment. Create the executive report out to the BU Management Team, and the Executive S&OP
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to address disruptions in supply, such as natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or supplier failures.
- Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, control and reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction and meet financial targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Management, Customer Service, Global and local Logistics, Contract Manufacturing, SC Center of Excellence, Operations and Finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues or challenges that arise.
- Cost management control: Support periodic freight tender and ensure freight costs competitiveness. Manage the outbound demurrage costs
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Proven track record of success in multiple supply chain functions like: demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, inventory management, warehousing, logistics and/or process improvement.
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Understanding Business to Business Ingredients market and its customers, as well as complex supply chain structures, preferably in the (bio)chemical industry.
- Thrives and ability to work in an environment that requires both tactical planning and hands on activities.
- Nice to have: certifications like APICS (CSCP, CDPP) command of Portuguese language .
