Our people doAs our new Shipping Manager, you have the overall responsibility for the End-to-End delivery performance within both Spare Parts and Equipment deliveries to End-customers in the local regions (e.g. Americas, Europe) and globally. In this position, you will work hands-on in operational tasks for 50% of your time, alongside overseeing management duties for the remaining 50%.In cooperation with Procurement, Sales & Order Fulfillment team the Shipping Manager aligns and standardizes processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Delivery Service Offerings, KPIs, and digitalization following the globally defined ways of working. Performance is constantly monitored and continuously improved from inbound deliveries from external suppliers to “last mile” deliveries to End-customers.As a part of Marel Global Supply Chain, you will lead a department of 3 shipping engineers and you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the individuals in this team. You will report to the Global Logistics Director.What you'll be doing
  • Responsibility includes from quote on delivery of green field projects and work with differentiated Spare Part offerings from RFQ to delivery of goods including operational purchasing of services from external carriers. Secure process alignment in local shipping team with global Marel standards.
  • Implementing globally aligned KPIs to drive end-to-end delivery performance global best in class processes for both in- & outbound deliveries. This includes the daily performance follow up on board meeting structures and standards.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly freight cost in order to explain the financial development and hereunder approve carrier invoices.
  • Ensure financial and custom compliance in terms of Export Registration, use of HS codes, Incoterms, Country of origin, Certificates etc.
  • Support Procurement and Manufacturing on inbound flow into Marel from external suppliers
  • Responsibility for all HR related tasks for your team, such as performance management, personal development and monitor progress and quality.
