This role reports to the Associate Director of Sales Benelux, Eastern and Northern Europe, also based in the Netherlands.The Account & Relationship Management Executive is responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts in the Netherlands and Flanders. Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies for large key accounts. This position will collaborate closely with colleagues from the Ovid Sales Team to maintain and grow existing accounts, while also working independently to create new opportunity throughout the territory.Health Research (HR) provides lifelong learning, research and practice information solutions for healthcare practitioners, researchers and students. We provide high-quality content and workflow solutions in the medical, nursing and allied health segments to institutions and individuals globally.ResponsibilitiesManages the following types of accounts in the assigned region: Academic Medical (medical research and medical education), Clinical and Corporate InstitutionsDevelops sales strategies for prospects and assigned accounts and successfully manages deals through the sales cycleDevelops and maintains a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives via prospecting and account managementPlans, organizes, and implements sales activities in order to achieve defined revenue goalsBuilds and nurtures strong customer relationships and develops new business within the assigned regionMakes presentations to new prospects and existing customers in the identified marketsConducts approximately 180 face-to-face on-site sales calls per yearPlans and implements promotional work and tracks sales activities on accounts within the regionQuotes prices, prepares proposals and provides information regarding terms and conditionsParticipates in regional and national trade shows, conferences and sales meetingsCompiles data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and reports to managementEnters sales activity, new prospects and all account information into SalesForcePrepares and submits weekly financial reports for the regionRequired skillsTrack record/multiple years field sales experienceExperience with complex Sales/Solution Selling experienceApplied consultative sales approach combined with presentation skillsKnowledge of Publishing/Information industryClinical and Academic market experienceKnowledge of Ovid products and services welcomedKnowledge of Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM Applications, SalesForceFluent Dutch and English language skillsExcellent communication (reading, writing, speaking and listening) skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments within Health ResearchInteracts with marketing, sales support, technical support, customer success, product strategy and the Associate Director of SalesIntrinsically self-motivated, quick learner, disciplined time management and result-drivenHighly organized and capable of working in a structured manner, effectively managing tasks and priorities to ensure efficient workflowGrowth mindsetWhy join Health Research (HR)?Professionals, researchers, students, and information managers in the scientific and healthcare communities rely on HR for the information they need to explore a new theory, fuel a new discovery, inform ongoing research, and improve patient care.
