  • Prepare the future for infrastructure by collaborating with solution leaders and stakeholders to craft comprehensive tactics and seamlessly implement cutting-edge technological solutions. Maintain vigilant oversight of technology, ensuring it remains under control while staying abreast of the latest developments to communicate with stakeholders and contribute to well-informed decision-making processes effectively.

  • Participate in financial decisions related to hardware, licenses, and technologies, demonstrating a keen understanding of budgetary considerations and cost-effective solutions.

  • Establish effective interfaces with internal and external service providers, fostering strong partnerships to enhance operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
  • IT Strategy: Long-term vision for architecture and design, leadership in solution development.
  • Network Security : Manage and support implementation of virtual firewalls with VMware NSX, collaboration to translate business needs into tangible architecture.
  • Incident Management and KPIs: Use of ITIL for optimal service management, establishment of monitoring and incident response plans.
  • Compliance and Validation: Ensure compliance with standards and regulations, maintain up-to-date and scalable documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Technical mentoring for junior members, guide project managers and experts towards technological solutions.
  • Interfunctional Collaboration: Act as a catalyst for IT members and UCB colleagues.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field - Ten years or more experience in a similar role. Five years or more experience in cybersecurity or related.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of all datacenters system architecture, platform and technologies: Server, Database, Storage, Virtualization, Application deployment, Monitoring, Data Protection and Recovery, System Security, System Management, System Automation, and System deployment.
  • Proven expertise in infrastructure, particularly in network virtualization and large infra management within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security and regulatory compliance in the industry.
  • Over a decade of experience in a similar role with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in French and English, with Dutch as an asset.
