Technical Buyer

• Identifying potential suppliers and evaluating them to ensure optimal purchasing conditions.
• Negotiating prices, delivery terms, and contractual agreements with suppliers.
• Monitoring ongoing procurement contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
• Monitoring supplier delivery performance and taking necessary corrective actions.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand and determine procurement needs for production and spare parts.
• Keeping track of market developments and trends, in consultation with R&D, to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvements.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and other external stakeholders.
• Emphasizing operational efficiency and constantly seeking ways to improve product flows and processes. You will be actively involved in optimization and digitalization projects as our driving force.
• Guiding and supporting team members with your coaching skills, offering backup whenever necessary. As a driven team player, you will bring out the best in everyone.

• You hold a master's degree in a technical field or have gained equivalent experience.
• You have several years of experience in a similar role within mechanical engineering or a relevant industry.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of technical materials, components, and machining processes.
• You demonstrate strong negotiation skills and analytical thinking.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach.
• You are results-driven and have a keen eye for detail and quality.
• You thrive as a collaborative team player and bring out the best in others.
• Prior experience with ERP systems and procurement software is advantageous.
• You are proficient in Dutch and have good proficiency in English and French.
