About the role (CDD 24 months)The MAPS Supply Planning Manager is part of a subsequent team to build the E2E Supply Chain of future Pneumococcal vaccine candidates making use of the new MAPS technology, from Clinical Trial Material until Commercialization.MAPS is the future for GSK and the Pn-MAPS Vaccine candidates are top priority projects for GSK reflected in the global Vaccines objectives.The MAPS Supply Planning Manager:
  • Ensures integration of GSK Binney Street Supply Chain, as the new Vaccines production site after acquisition of Affinivax, in the Global Vaccines Supply Chain Network and processes.
  • Ensures set-up of the supply chain for the two Pneumococcal MAPS Vaccine candidates within the Global Supply Chain network, technology and CCC processes. This includes gradual set-up/creation and maintenance of masterdata across the production network in line with the needs in the different phases of the project and linked to the global supply chain transformation program.
  • Understands, builds and manages supply plans, integrating all types of demand (from development to clinical trial to engineering and commercial) and translating into supply plans covering the candidate vaccine launch. He / she is accountable to understand, challenge, share and firm a validated Net requirement signal for production from packaging to bulk.
  • Works with External Manufacturing & Production Planning teams and Central Planning Manager to ensure there is an optimized GIO supply plan for the overall product and project.
About the responsibilities
  • Build and manage supply plans, upon integrating all types of demand (From Development & Clinical trial needs to Process characterization, engineering, PPQ & Commercial requirements), and translate into Production plans for production sites (both internal and external, and both for Clinical and Commercial Production), including signals for Critical Incoming Material management
  • Manage, from a operational perspective, the end-to-end planning from bulk, filling, and packaging for the 0-36-month horizon
  • Be accountable for master data set-up and coordination with sites, Finance, TLCM and Tech teams upon seeking for optimization levers to keep complexity of the Pn-MAPS product tree & network under control
  • Compile all production assumptions and inputs to feed network design (both internal and CMO), capacity and inventory management
  • Build and run what if scenarios & scenario planning for changing Clinical trial production, PPQ and launch strategies and interactions between the 2 Pn-MAPS vaccine candidates
  • Recommend and maintain planning parameters and connect with Governance
  • Perform proactive analysis for buffer theory (Capacity, Leadtime, Inventory) and link with assumptions (including IM)
  • Integrate Pn-MAPS requests into a global picture within the GSK portfolio to understand constraints & limitations
  • Build and own Inventory management and proactive management of expiry (stock on hand, stock projections)
  • Be responsible of analysis for setting up the E2E supply chain at market level (network, manufacturing route until in-country distribution)
  • Compile inputs and build inputs for financial analysis and budget exercises
  • Define efficient & consolidated approach to manage packaging/labelling solutions and master data to comply with requirements for launch of the Pn-MAPS vaccine candidates (serialized number, GTIN, EAN codes, E-Leaflet, customer information… )
  • Be responsible for preparing (bi-)weekly supply chain progress reports and communication of the critical supply chain items to the Pn-MAPS Steering Committee and Sponsor teams
About you
  • Hold university degree in Engineering/Scientific discipline
  • Working experience in project management and associated tools (e.g. MS Project)
  • Good business acumen and enterprise thinking (end-to-end supply orientations, crosse functional team spirit, sharing of good practices within the network)
  • Demonstrated project management skills with successful implementation experience of global projects
  • Ability to work through complex data/information to drive simple solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing operational excellence methodologies and change management principles preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced user preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Experience with working in global multicultural environment and complex matrix organizations
  • Excellent written and spoken English and preferably fluency in one or more additional European languages
