- Ensuring engineering of seats and safety components within a specific project by managing a team of internal or external CAD designers / engineering partners;
- Giving the “ok” for Prototype release (with consequent start of forward sourcing activities, prototypal parts production and testing activities);
- Supporting for technical issues, Purchasing Dept during series suppliers/partners selection (forward sourcing);
- Performing feasibility analysis (virtual, digital mock up);
- Producing and updating technical documentation by ensuring proper archiving (designs, CAD 3D data, tech specs);
- Helding relationship with external suppliers/partners during the complete development (for technical issues); · To support Proto/Test specialists during testing activities on physical prototypes to get approval (validation) by respecting B release milestone within the overall project;
- Ensuring procurement of parts where B Release milestones has not been respected until EMPB (Note 3);
- Defining technical BOM (for parts under his/her responsibility) by indicating lead time for part engineering, date of availability of new components, needed lead time for functional tests;
- Presenting request for modifications within the SETs (simultaneous engineering team).
- Presenting to cross functional process for parts development with interface with the involved areas of the company
- Organizing and making test drive with the target to reach the right level of comfort required for the seats (Attribute owner).
- University degree in Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in similar role
- Experience in Engineering, development, validation of seats in Automotive companies (OEM or Tier 1)
- Development of safety components in automotive companies (OEM or Tier1)
- Knowledge of Catia V5, Office pack
- Seats and safety components engineering and development.
- Engineering and development of interiors as a plus
- Fully proficient in English, German as a plus but not mandatory
