Our growth objectives are ambitious and we are looking to reinforce our organization to support this effort.Main duties and responsibilities:The Installation and Engineering Manager is the focal point for the site activities and retains the final responsibility for the execution of the installation tasks within EOSS Business Unit.He/she is also the focal point for all engineering aspects and technical details of the projects, and he/she is responsible for the final technical architecture (except for the IT one) to be built, installed, and commissioned.The Installation and Engineering Manager will:Support the Installation Supervisor through the project managementMonitor the costs of the department (number of site activities against the budget), identify and implement remedial actions in case of overrunCheck/review the results given by the Installation Supervisor or by System Engineer on a regular basisOptimize completion of on-site activitiesDeliver utmost customer satisfactionManage and engage the teamsGarantees greater and better communicationEnsure that the engineering projects documentation (technical reports, calculations, drawings, etc) and the installation documentation proceed correctly and according to deadlinesManage the design of the projects from every point of view starting from the technical aspect to the potential issues on deliveryQualifications:At least 8 years experience as Installation Manager/electric system design engineer or similarMaster’s degree in Engineering will be considered a plus.Basic knowledge of Partial Discharge (PD) and optics (Distributed Temperature Sensing, Real Time Thermal Rating, Distributed Strain Sensing and Distributed Acoustic Sensing) monitoring technologies of electrical assets is recommended.Good knowledge of the projects schedule techniquesKnowledge of the above-mentioned technologies and application onto the High Voltage and Power Distribution markets. Understanding of the markets associated needs for asset integrity, asset monitoring and sensing technologies, commissioning, testing and diagnostics.Good understanding of communication, electrical, electronics and network instruments.Basic knowledge of: IT networks and IT architecture.Basic knowledge of Fiber Optic cables (Single Mode, Multi Mode), FO/Ethernet Media Converter, Ethernet Switch, SFP modules, Ethernet cablesKnowledge of the main Italian CEI standards, knowledge of other standards (UK, US etc) is a plus.Knowledge of Electrotechnique, low voltage power plants, design of low voltage cables and protections (miniature circuit breakers, fuses, curves of intervention, selectivity, etc), low voltage transformers (isolating transfomers, vector groups etc), UPS, cosphi, earth connections (TT, TN, IT) etc.MS Office proficient, basic MS Project, Wrike, Sharepoint, One-driveBasic autocad.Language skills: English fluentGood communication skills and critical-thinkingAvailability to travel extinsivelyPrysmian Group, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
