General Manager - Meat

• Must have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Marketing, Commercial Management, Finance, or Supply Chain Management
• An MBA/MBL will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 15 years’ work experience and 5 years’ management experience in a related industry will be required
• Exposure to the meat trade and international trade will be advantageous
• Must have proven experience in stakeholder and relationship management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to effectively communicate safety-related information to diverse audiences will be required for this role

• Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, targeting human and pet treat segments, and expanding the existing customer base.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships with distributors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations and foster growth opportunities.
• Conducting market analysis to monitor trends, consumer preferences, and make informed decisions.
• Negotiating with suppliers, distributors, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms and pricing for ostrich-related meat products.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance with industry standards and safety requirements for ostrich products, both domestically and internationally.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks such as market fluctuations, supply disruptions, and changing consumer demands.
• Facilitating effective communication with internal teams and external partners to convey goals, strategies, and updates.
• Resolving challenges and issues related to production, distribution, or marketing of ostrich-related products.
• Identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and innovation in sales and marketing efforts, locally and internationally.
