RealTime are looking for a talented Data Platform Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud-native technologies, and a DevOps mindset. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and InfoSec teams to deploy and manage our data applications in the cloud, primarily on AWS with some exposure to Azure. - 5 + years of experience working as a Data Platform Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with cloud-native DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud database technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, etc.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and InfoSec teams to deploy data applications to the cloud (primarily AWS, some Azure).
- Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Maintain and optimize Azure CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployment of data applications.
- Create controls to manage and maintain system uptime, including setting up monitoring tools and alerts to ensure high availability and performance of the data platform.Apply
