As Account Coordinator Golin, your job is clear: go all in.For our clients.For our colleagues.For our agency.For our industry.As an Account Coordinator, you must constantly be looking for new opportunities to learn, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to adapt to multiple assignments and deadlines, as well as an environment that changes frequently.ResponsibilitiesCreate Meaningful Impact for Our ClientsYou create meaningful impact for our clients. You do this by building trusting relationships with your colleagues,teams, and client contacts. You collaborate, counsel, and contribute to exceptional and brave work. You immerseyourself in our clients' business and bring relevant ideas and insights into our work.
  • Actively listen to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of assignment expectations (timing and deliverables), seek out guidance from the line manager when needed.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of your client(s) brand, key competitors and the industry
  • Have a clear understanding of the client's business objectives, communications goals, organizational structure
  • Schedule and coordinate client meetings; keep participants advised of any changes
  • Learn to develop purposeful, substantive, succinct, and clear writing that provides relevant information to help team members and clients learn, know, or take action
  • Responsible for a variety of project management tasks (writing timelines, drafting emails, taking notes, etc.)
  • Supportclients events/meeting management & logistics support
  • Actively listen to client perceptions, needs, and expectations and understand the impact of their feedback on deadlines and your work
  • Actively listen and take concise notes during meetings
  • Meet deadlines for assigned tasks and can, when needed, ask for help prioritizing your work
  • Maintain client product/inventory closet
  • Interact with the client as deemed necessary by the account team leader
  • Assist with the logistics of events (eg: satellite media tours, desk-side briefings, editor events, etc.)
  • Provide timely responses to internal team members and clients
Media Management
  • Learn basic 21st-century PR skills: earned media (social and traditional)
  • Develop and maintain media contact lists and databases, maintain media files
  • Continually update knowledge of new media
  • Research and maintain speaking/editorial opportunities and calendars
  • Scan daily, weekly, monthly, and on-line publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information
Copywriting
  • Draft basic press releases, pitch letters, and briefing documents and adequately draft media relations materials
  • Proof and edit internal and external documents
  • Prepare clip reports and summaries as needed by the team and client
Dive Our Business: Administrative Support
  • Dive Our Business: Administrative SupportUnderstand what your utilization is and why it matters
  • Code and track invoices and coordinate with the Accounting Department
  • Arrange travel
  • Conduct research for PR plan development
  • Begin to understand vendor management, contracts, and how to research vendors to get the best deal for your clients
What you'll bringEducationBachelor's DegreeProfessional Experience
  • 0-1 years related professional experience
  • Internship experience in a public relations agency or related environment is highly desired
Success Factors
  • Have strong copywriting and editing skills in Simplified Chinese and English
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time in a consistent manner, Have strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate situational awareness; know how to properly communicate your opinions and ideas to your direct line manager
  • Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Good judgment when working with team members, client contacts, and vendors
  • Approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. Desire to pursue learning and self-development; participates in required and voluntary professional development programs.
  • Be highly engaged, fully absorbed, and enthusiastic about the work you are tasked with, by taking ownership and holding yourself accountable for your work/projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, online services, etc.
