What Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal HealthHealth System Pharmacy is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers.Day Shift: Monday- Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm - Closed Door PharmacyResponsibilities:Maintains knowledge of and abides by applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.Assists the Pharmacist in filling prescription orders, as permitted by the State Boards of Pharmacy.Prepares medications for dispensing, packaging and shipment.Takes inventory, place orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy systemCommunicates with all customers (patients, clinics, caregivers, physicians) in a pleasant and professional manner.Processes returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.Inputs patient data and prescription information into pharmacy information management system.As permitted by applicable state laws, take verbal prescription orders from licensed prescribers and transfer prescriptions between dispensing pharmacies.QualificationsHigh school degree or equivalent preferredPrevious work experience requiredAt least one year as Certified Pharmacy Technician working in a retail, mail order, specialty, or hospital pharmacy environmentCustomer service skillsMust be certified and registered in the state of TNWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorAnticipated hourly range: $17.80 per hour - $25.40 per hourBonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 06/15/2024 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
