The Facilities Management team is critical to UCOL's operation. Responsible for maintenance, asset management, planning, fleet management and property operations, the team work across multiple campuses in the Manawatu, Whanganui, Wairarapa and Horowhenua regions.Our primary role is to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all members of the campus communities.Due to a vacancy within our Facilities Management team, we are seeking applications for the role of Facilities Manager based on our Palmerston North campus. This role is fulltime, 40 hours per week.The Facilities Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of the full range of both hard and soft FM services, and this role demands a proven manager who can create and deliver a strong customer focus. Additionally you will:· Ensure all works are delivered safely, cost effectively and to a high standard· Ensure strong financial and KPI performance on campus· Guide and direct the responsible use of contractors· Provide strong leadership and direction to reporting staff· Be a hands on, safety focused leader· Ensure timely management of site compliance, including BWoF and HSNO requirementsThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in a management position, within a facilities or asset maintenance related industry. You will have experience in driving operational activities to ensure quality work is achieved to schedule and rework is minimised.
