- A recognized doctoral degree in organic chemistry or a closely related field.
- A solid and varied background in organic synthesis
- Experience with and a good working knowledge of standard purification and analytical methods, such as NMR, MS, HPLC or similar
- A strong academic track record, and motivation and potential for conducting research
- Self-organization and independence
- Excellent work ethic and commitment
- A good command of English, both written and verbal. English language proficiency must be documented (see below). Interest in Norwegian language and culture is welcome
- Experience with one or more of the following topics: CO2 chemistry, photochemistry, electrochemistry, organic radical chemistry
- Experience with Schlenk line techniques
- Experience with flow chemistry
- Teaching experience
- Have the ability to work collaboratively, within and beyond the research group
