Bring your natural, calm leadership style to manage various, challenging projects and advance in an innovative company.We are on a growth mode and seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the delivery of Customer and Capital Works in Auckland.The role
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you'll be in-charge of the successful delivery of projects including:
- Collaboration with the design estimation team on design/scope/price with an emphasis on civil quotations
- Planning delivery to meet cost-effective solutions including,
*Scheduling staff and resources including Electrical and Civil
  • Liaising with customers, consultants, and Network Owners
  • Engaging and managing subcontractors
You'll be accountable for:
- Ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget and to the required quality standards
- Managing the efficient use of resources to ensure minimal downtime
- Providing accurate and timely reporting to client and internal customers on project status including:
  • WIP (work in progress)
  • Invoice forecasting both internal and external
  • Regular reports to clients
  • Overall project forecast
  • Monitor and manage financial performance of projects
  • Complete financial reconciliation of open projects

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you'll have an understanding of how to deliver large projects and would come with previous Project Management experience. We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:- Industry knowledge and proven experience ( at least 5 years) in Electrical distribution network and zone substations
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of project and job management
- Understanding of “Aconex” construction management software ( Preferred)
- Have a formal Project management qualification ( Preferred not essential)
- Financial literacy and ability to write reports
- Excellent communication ( written and verbal) , presentation, and interpersonal skills to negotiate with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project
- A proactive approach, tackling challenges head-on and seeking solutions with good problem solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships including field staff, clients, and other project managers
- Excellent risk management skills and a confident decision maker
- Clean, full, class 1 Driver's License
- Knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation will be advantageous; NZQA 18275, NZQA 12300 or equivalent certification will be beneficialAbout us
