Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the purpose of the Air Freight Business Development Manager is to participate in sales activities with a focus on increasing revenue and building, long-term, trusting relationships. Your responsibilities will include;
- Generating and participating in sales activities including sales calls, client visits, prospecting leads etc.
- Supporting all business strategies
- Develop new business relationships
- Develop, implement and monitor sales goals
- Support campaigns
- Work with management to develop strategies and activities to support existing and new accounts
- Update and maintain CRM
- Providing customer quotes
To be successful in this role you will have
- Previous experience as a BDM within an international freight forwarding business – essential
- High levels of autonomy with a hunting sales approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government requirements
- Solid operational experience in all Freight Forwarding aspects
- Knowledgeable in international import / export regulations specific to the position/department
