Our client a leading, pan-European high-end consultancy are currently hiring a Commercial Director to join their rapidly expanding company. The commercial director is a high-end consultative seller, charismatic, insightful, strategic, and operational excellence focused. In this role you will report to the Ireland Managing Director.Areas of ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy and Execution· Ability to have a vision and an ambition for the commercial business they are responsible for.· Develop and implement commercial strategies according to group strategy, goals, and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth.· Ability to convert strategy into a plan, into actions and to execute them.· Promote and expand the company's commercial activity to generate revenues and sustainable growth.· Ability to develop financial business plans.· Capacity to maximise profitability - increased value, increased productivity, and cost optimisation.· Define the most effective delivery organisation in line with the strategy.· Encompasses all dimensions of the company in their plan.Customers· Ability to understand the requirements of new and existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.· Ability to sell and close at C level.· Ability to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing).· Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.· Ability to develop strategic account plans.· Ability to execute & measure achievements vs. plan.· Capacity to create the right positioning in line with the company strategy.· Ability to answer RFI - RFP - Bid… in a professional and successful manner.· Ability to manage escalations/solution oriented.People· Select the right people.· Set S.M.A.R.T. targets for each.· Pilot people induction, education, development.· Retain staff.· Conflict management - stick to company strategic objectives.· Lead by example.· Managing people: open and transparent communication.· Experienced in staff (feedback) conversations, creates balance within the team.· Care for the safety of the team.· Promote cooperation and team spirit in the team.· Transmit knowledge.Monitoring· Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.· Set-up relevant KPI's for the business.· Control the business and take corrective actions.· Drive resource allocation.· Understand the financial KPI's and their business drivers.· Capacity to forecast.Tools and Processes· Understands the processes & drives business practices.· Understands the interactions between the business they are responsible for in relation to other business units and optimises the workflows.Abilities· Working in a project mode vs. running mode.· Self-confidence.· Ability to think conceptually & act practically.· Authority - seen as an expert in their position - adds value to direct reports.· Proactive behaviour.· Creative - innovative.· Drive the changes required to achieve goals - sell at all stages.· Dedicated and trustworthy.· Writing, speaking, and presenting capacity.· Being authentic and convincing.· Good - fluent English.· Ability to document.· Structured.Requirements· Must have 5-10 years+ experience in a similar commercial director role within an established consulting company.· A strong network of contacts with proven experience in sales and managing relationships with key clients.· Experience in leading and developing teams to deliver on organization growth initiatives and meet company targets.· International experience working with all organizational levels from multiple geographic locations.· High standard of accuracy and close attention to detail, excellent written and verbal English.· Excellent planning and organisational skills to meet timescales.· Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team.· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiastic and engaging.Work Environment· Hybrid role between working from home and the Dublin and Cork office.· Some domestic/international travel occasionally.· Flexible re location between Dublin and Cork.#LI-DAC
