You need to establish a strong network and keep the SIS research line up-to-date through extensive promotion, project acquisition and effective exploitation of results in education and industry. You will also align with the other (associate) professors, and work together with project manager(s), team leader(s), researchers and students to build new and innovative practical knowledge and a unified team.This is where you will workAt we explore future developments, look beyond our borders and disciplines and drive innovation. As Associate Professor you will be a member of the Smart Mechatronics And RoboTics research group.   • The following salary scale: scale 13: min € 5,745 / max € 6,997 (cao-hbo) working on a full-time basis.
  • 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus.

  • A doctorate degree with at least three years of experience (industry or academia) in one of the following fields: Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied computer Sciences; Strong theoretical and practical experience in Industrial systems, Industrial Automation, Machine Vision, Artificial Intelligence and Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in systems integration to improve and optimize industrial solutions with minor modification of existing robotic (sub)systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic and analytical thinking in the direction of bridging the gap between market and science by involving (higher) professional education.
  • Experience in building networks, acquisition of R&D projects, mobilising a team to conduct successful projects, and effective exploitation of results in education and industry.
  • A leadership and working attitude that can be characterized as: inspiring coach, ambitious leader, result-oriented team player, flexible and hospitable person.
