We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager to lead a significant residential development in Newbridge, Kildare, consisting of houses and apartments.The Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standards. This pivotal role involves direct leadership of the project team, stringent financial oversight, and robust stakeholder management.Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage project development.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Minimum of 7 yearsÂ’ experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager in the residential construction sector, with a strong track record in delivering large-scale housing and apartment projects.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project financial management.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in risk and subcontractor management.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage teams in high-pressure situations.
