- Promote a culture of collaboration, positivity and success, devising a pursuit plan and assist with driving a winning strategy.
- Lead an effective bid team, identify and brief contributors from across the business and manage, motivate and support them throughout the programme.
- Support workshops/planning meetings including working with key proposal contributors to establish a clear win strategy and develop storyboard content.
- Take accountability for and manage the compliance of the submission.
- Oversee reviews of the quality and commercial content and legal compliance.
- Gain client intel from the strategy and growth/marketing/CAM teams and ensure that they are full engaged
- Drive the process to research the client’s aspirations and share this knowledge and intelligence with the team.
- Implement a best practice approach and promote the use of AECOM’s bidding processes and tools to enable capture managers to pursue bronze classified opportunities themselves, where a go/no-go has deemed appropriate.
- Identify bid training requirements.
- Develop the requirements for each bid in a clear and understandable way.
- Manage and maintain version control for bid documents and issue them to the appropriate functions for response/review/signature in line with the bid programme.
- Instill a culture where others share knowledge, insights and learning.
- Identify and share lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvement of the Major Pursuit Team and B+P UK&I Pursuits Team processes and tools.
- Support the B+P UK&I Pursuits Team Lead to drive professionalism and efficiency in the team and on the bids on which they work.
- Promote the development of (a) people and (b) the behaviour and culture necessary to win, including supporting junior colleagues to develop their bidding skills.
- Train and guide teams to prepare for client interviews and presentations.
- Active management of update of CVs (including thumbnail staff images) and subsequent upload to the B+P CV’s area on the work winning hub.
- Active management of the Irish pipeline to ensure opportunities are recorded, pursued and maximised to support fee conversion and monthly sources of revenue analysis.
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- Desirable: APMP certification.
