The purpose of this role is to support the transition to a low-emission, climate resilient organisation, which is capable of meaningfully contributing to a climate resilient region.Key Responsibilities include:The Senior Climate Transition Advisor is responsible for:
  • contributing to transition planning.
  • managing Science and Sustainability team reporting requirements.
  • contributing to initiatives or working groups related to transition planning including the electric vehicle program, and the AT Sustainability Strategy.
  • investigating and mapping organisational systems, processes, tools, templates to embed consistent climate-resilient practice.
  • reviewing policies alongside technical teams.
  • managing or contributing to sustainability related information, education, workshops, presentations, storytelling, and specialist advice
Ko koe tēnei | About you
  • Relevant degree qualification or minimum employment history demonstrating experience in the fields of sustainability, science or public policy.
  • Minimum of 5+ yrs experience in relevant public policy or climate change field.
  • Experience in central or local government, in strategy/process/policy roles.
  • Experience and outstanding ability to write business documents and reports in Plain Language.
  • Knowledge and experience of organisational processes preferably including risk management processes.
Desired
  • skilled at using Miro for online workshops
  • previous experience creating graphics or infographics eg using In-Design, or experience creating training modules
