- Certificate III or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or eligible to obtain.
- Effective communication methods within an Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health Practice Context.
- Demonstrated cultural knowledge and exercise cultural respect and safety at the individual and families’ levels.
- Ability to write clear and precise English appropriate to resident’s needs.
- Mature outlook with the ability to relate and converse with older people.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan work.
- Commitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of McLean Care Ltd
- Excellent computer literacy
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience in an aged care setting
- Understanding of Aged Care and associated Legislation
- Understanding of AN-ACC Care Minute requirements
- Experience in supervising and leading staff
- Basic Life Support accreditation
