Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit - Forestry & Transport Manager for our client, based in the East Cork RegionFully onsite, required to travel to forestry sites & to Head office- Midlands occasionally.Join their dynamic forestry team in Ireland where you'll help ensure a steady timber supply and manage transportation logistics.Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:

Overseeing the process of obtaining and transporting timber.
Purchasing timber from various sources.
Managing forest sites for safety & compliance.
Coordinating transportation of timber.
Managing logistics such as scheduling harvesting operations and handling residue materials.
Engaging with industry stakeholders.
Participating in events and committees related to forestry and transportation.

What are we looking for?

3rd level qualification in forestry is desirable.
Proven experience as a forester in log procurement OR experience in measuring and evaluating stands of timber in previous roles.
Experience in coordinating external haulier companies.
Knowledge of current legal requirements and guidelines as they relate to haulage.
Strong organisational & communications skills
Full clean driving licence & willingness to travel.
Excellent IT skills.
