Managing 28.5 $bn spend worldwide we are providing efficient and reliable services to internal customers.Industrial Services & Spare Parts covers 10% of this spend being present at 7 sites (plants) in 5 countries (Spain, Germany, France, Poland and Belgium).“Mills Operations and Recycling Services” - procurement subcategory related to long-term contracts/projects for services directly connected to the steel production or outsourcing part of it. General scope of services:
  • Scrap and slag management (scrap recovery and processing; slag treatment, refractory scrap recovery);
  • Refractory services (bricklaying, shotcreeting, etc.);
  • Operation on semi-finished goods (cutting, scarfing, tolling, etc);
  • Solid wastes disposal.
About the role
  • Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities for Mill Operations and Recycling for ArcelorMittal France
  • Analyse spend and drive cost reduction
  • Work closely with internal customers to ensure effective strategic procurement and business continuity
  • Work closely with Lead Buyer responsible for Mill Operation & Recycling in conducting research on supply markets, price benchmarks, and supplier profiles
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for Mill Operation & Recycling
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationship
  • Understand needs from internal users, support in writing technical specifications when needed (and create a consolidated view in order to deliver savings and subcategory, KPI targets, assist Lead Buyer with necessary analyses, and leading purchasing projects from the very beginning to the end:
Reviewing/preparing tender documentation (specification; RFQ; KPI; pricelist…)Strategy implementation (sourcing, bundling, strategic partnership…)NegotiationsSpend data analysis and basic financial analysesPreparing business analysis (reports, spend analysis, TCO analysis, business cases, business plans, benchmarks, FTEs analysis etc.)Performance reportingPrice benchmarksSupplier profileTCO; savings ideas, cost reduction, savings innovation ideasPreparation of Executive Summary for management decisionMonitoring contract implementation, execution, and compliance.
  • Assist internal users with major issues
  • May participate in ad-hoc transversal working groups and projects
  • Responsible of RFQ process and negotiation for all spot orders
  • Collaborate with Business Center of Excellent (BCoE) in Poland on administrative aspects related to contracts and spot orders.
Your profileYou hold a Master's degree in Economics, Procurement, Engineering or Supply Chain.You have a Successful track record in Procurement, Economics, Engineering or User area.Good understanding of financial processes.As a genuine and organised buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers.Good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems (i.e. SAP) but also in project management and negotiation are a plus.You are autonomous, but you also like working in teams and able to work in a virtual mode with remote colleagues.You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis.Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change.Fluent French and English language are a must.
