As one of the three dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Registrars in a team of four it is expected the successful candidate will become an integral member of the service.

Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at
A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience and ideally applicants will already have Registrar experience in this speciality, however this is not essential.
It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
