There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?Our Business Advisory Services Team in Rotorua is now seeking an Associate Director to join them.About this team:We work closely with businesses to develop a trusted advisor relationship through our unique and personalised approach to dealing with the individual, and unique challenges New Zealand businesses face today. Our role is to share knowledge and provide guidance, helping Small to Medium-sized Enterprises, High Net Worth Individuals and Family Groups, Iwi Pre/Post Settlement Governance Entities, Māori Land Trusts and Incorporations and NGOs to grow and succeed. At Deloitte, we are passionate about our clients' success and partnering with them on their growth journey.This is a client facing and team leadership role. You will be responsible for managing team members and a portfolio of clients ranging in size and covering a broad range of accounting and tax issues. You will develop effective business relationships with clients, deliver outstanding advice, exceed our clients' expectations, and partner with their businesses to grow.Your typical day will include:· Being a role model and mentor for Consultants and Senior Consultants by providing on-the-job training and development opportunities, influencing the team positively.· Managing multiple jobs concurrently.· Regular communication with clients and teams to ensure the smooth running of jobs.· Building trusted and credible client relationships.· Identifying and providing insightful recommendations about a broad range of accounting issues in a timely manner.· Annual compliance work/review, advisory work and virtual CFO engagementsEnough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:· 5+ years accounting experience.· CA qualified (or equivalent).· Solid understanding of the accounting and tax issues facing SMEs in NZ.· Experience in financial modelling and forecasting.· Proven ability to building strong relationships with clients & colleagues.· Excellent organisational and communication skills.· An energetic and proactive attitude.· Experience leading successful teams, mentoring junior staff, managing priorities and delivering to deadlines.So, who is Deloitte in Aotearoa?We are driven to create an impact that matters at every opportunity.
