- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Automotive Engineering
- Masters' Degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, computer engineering or physics is a plus
- Advanced English - TOEFL min. Score of ITP 585 / iBT 84, CEFR level B2-C1 (or equivalent)
- Advanced engineering, physics knowledge, mechanical engineering
- Minimum 3 - 7 years of experience in embedded software development in the automotive environment
- Strong knowledge with C/C++ language for micro - controllers or SOC's (Infineon)
- Proficient with Matlab/Simulink in an Autocode environment
- Good understanding of the Classic AutoSAR, SW Architectures and interfaces
- Knowledge or Working experience with cross compiler and tool chain
- Experience in Automotive embedded Software Development (V Model, Agile)
- Excellent communication ability in English (written & verbal)
- Ability to interact with individuals and departments throughout the different Business Units
- Desired:
- Experience with debugging / developing / testing different HW interfaces (UART, SPI, FLASH and I2C) (Lauterbach Trace 32, VNXXX, Renesas Debugger)
- Experience working with Vector tools (like:CANOe, Canalyzer, Candela, Vector CAST, Davinci Developer and Configurator, PrEEvision)
- And other Software tools like: EB Tresos, dSpace Target link, Axivion, etc.
- Experience with Software Optimization for Mass Production in Vehicles
- Experience using microcontrollers and firmware programming
- Software Validation Experience (SiL, MiL, HiL)
- Working knowledge of Vector products for calibration and measurement (INCA)
- Knowledge of requirements/configuration management (PTC: Codebeamer, Integrity, MKS and Jira is a plus)
- Knowledge of software Detail Design. (IBM Rhapsody is a plus)
- The candidate will be working on requirements development with the customer as also the alignment of the software needs towards the core teams in the Schaeffler software department.
- The candidate will participate on simulation (SIL, MIL), programming, calibration, testing working with Hardware test bench or HIL System.
- Also, candidate will support product validation activities, internal reviews such as peer review and Quality scrutiny.
- Support on meeting with customer, support design proposals for new business opportunities. Additionally, customer on-site support will be required travel nationally and internationally.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, have close visual acuity and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to maneuver objects, tools. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend, push, pull, kneel, or crouch.
