- Be responsible for contract development & contract documents,
- Work with procurement, internal & legal depts.
- negotiate & develop robust legal & commercial terms & conditions with suppliers.
- Advise on contract related issues & help everyone make good business decisions
- Review of diverse contract issues; identify any potential legal, ops & commercial risks that need highlighted
- Oversight of the approval process for high value deals, ongoing contract management & issue resolution as needed after contract execution.
- Work closely with internal audit teams & supplier's auditors to resolve contract compliance issues.
- review internal business client & supplier requests for changes to T&Cs, assess the commercial & operational impact & risks associated with implementing the proposed changes, & recommend response
- Provide leadership in drafting & negotiating terms & conditions for high value, strategic deals with suppliers
- Act as the liaison between business partners, Legal, suppliers & managing control of docs & stakeholder responses to queries
- Secure Legal approval of responses & negotiate resolution with supplier
- Work with procurement on contract document templates & RFP documentation are correct
- Resolve & respond to contractual related supplier issues & questions
- Interpret contractual rights & obligations to business partner & Sourcing Specialist
- Support contract template development & updates to accommodate the commercial & operational needs of the business & to reflect on legislative changes around privacy, import/export, etc.
- Ensure current standard contract terms/language is in all contracts
- Manage supplier dispute resolution through formal or informal dispute resolution channels
- Review, interpret & apply sourcing & Corporate Policy requirements
- Consultation & escalation to senior mgt. of current & potential issues
- Legal qualification, Degree etc with exp in contract management
- Strong oral & drafting; issue resolution; negotiation skills & project management skills
- Can manage multiple deliverables in a very dynamic environment
- Good exp of procurement contract clauses & principles
- Lean Six Sigma exp &/or certification
