We play a significant role in the global challenge of working towards a low-carbon, sustainable-growth economy.About the roleAs a Group Communication Manager, you will report to our Group Communication Director and be part of the Human Resources department and Group Communication team. You will be responsible to, amongst others, implement the Lhoist Group communication strategy, strengthen brand reputation by crafting compelling narratives, foster relationships with our internal and external stakeholders, empower and guide team member, collaborate cross-functionally with departments, continuously evolve communication strategies and tactics to adapt to changing stakeholder expectations and industry dynamics, etc.You can actively generate a positive impact on tomorrow's world by participating in the transformation of our industry. We expect you to be able to work autonomously (always with the support of your manager and team) and come up with innovative ideas to strengthen the impact of our organization, reinforce our positioning and enhance our reputation.Your role and responsibilitiesBuild relationships of trust at all levels of the organization, including members of the executive committee.Have the right level of assertiveness to promote your views and drive forward the priorities of the communications department and, by extension, the ones of our company.Contribute to the creation of communication materials, such as website updates, social media publications, brochure development, press releases, action plans, etc.Contribute to the Group's transformation through developing impactful storytelling and action plans for our innovative projects.Participate in working groups on decarbonization projects (e.g. EVEREST, CalCC, co2ncreat, Peak Cluster...) and sustainability (reports, vision 2030…).Support the implementation of the Group's new visual identity, internal information and education, and compliance with guidelines.Define and implement the Group's employer branding ambitions, from identifying needs to developing communication materials.About youYou have 5 to 10 years' experience in corporate communications, with a good knowledge of the business industry and experience of team management.Storytelling holds no secrets for you. You will need to tell clear, impactful stories on topics that might be technical and unfamiliar to our audiences. In this context, you know how to positively influence and inspire people.English or French is your mother tongue. You have irreproachable writing skills.You are looking to develop your skills in an international environment and within a family-run company that promotes respect, courage and integrity.You want your job to be meaningful, to have a positive impact on the world we live in.
