Your role as a TAM is to partner with the Account Manager on an account to help current customers gain the most value from their dbt Cloud deployment, leading to renewals and expansions. To achieve this, you will work with Account Managers to react to changes in the health of current customers, create many communications to keep in touch with customers, lead technical discussions with customers, uncover new data challenges, and showcase how dbt Cloud can address their needs.Internally, you will help our team as we continue to build out our processes and playbooks and act as the voice of the customer to ensure that we continue to build product that solves real problems and delights our customers. This person will be based in Dublin and will be in office 2 days per week.In this role, you can expect to:
  • Work with Account Managers to manage the health of current accounts, build relationships with key technical stakeholders, and understand their analytics needs and use cases to determine where dbt Cloud can help them achieve their goals
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of product adoption, utilization, and customer health and satisfaction in customers you interact with and identify opportunities for potential expansion and churn or contraction risks
  • Increase the value customers obtain from dbt Cloud through educating your customer base on new products and features as they are launched and on existing products and features that they may not be making use of through 1 to many touch points and communication
  • Improve customer loyalty and retention through building strong relationships and driving through success through proactive engagement and understanding their business goals and needs
  • Surface product feedback and customer requests to appropriate cross-functional teams
  • Improve processes and procedures by identifying gaps in existing assets
You are a good fit if you have:
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical account manager, CSE, or as a data practitioner; prior dbt experience will be very helpful in this role
  • A solid technical background, with a firm understanding of modern data warehousing architectures, the analytics stack, and SQL proficient
  • High degree of comfort presenting to various stakeholders or audience, ideally with experience in an externally facing role
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment and think on your feet when engaged in customer conversations
  • Desire to be part of a team, both as an active member of the TAM team as we continue to evolve and improve how we work, and in your day-to-day work with Account Managers
You'll have an edge if you have:
  • Basic python competency and advanced SQL knowledge
  • Have experience with ancillary tools, managing data infrastructure, APIs, etc
