IntroductionOur client in the FMCG industry is looking to recruit a Web Content Coordinator to work within their Digital Marketing Department. The role will be based at Cape Town Head Office and will be reporting to the Digital Search & Web Manager.Job Purpose:To help manage the website to ensure information is up-to-date, accessible and effectively endorsed. Support the digital team with the content of the website, structure and use of the content management system. To manage and deliver supplier campaigns.Job Objectives:
  • To publish, edit and update content on the website.
  • To develop, write and edit web pages using computer script.
  • To utilise best practices and emerging website content tools.
  • To analyse and report on web content initiatives and performance.
Minimum requirementsEducation:
  • National Diploma in Marketing, Web Design, Content Management (or relevant discipline)
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree (or relevant discipline, e.g., Marketing)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing (desirable in retail/FMCG marketing), with at least 2 years experience in web content development
  • Minimum of 2 years experience using web and web content tools
  • 5 years experience in marketing (desirable in retail/FMCG marketing), with 3 years in web content development (Desirable)
Knowledge:
  • Digital marketing principles, practices and global trends (applied)
  • Website development and tools (expert)
  • Content management systems (expert)
  • Programming and HTML (expert)
  • Copywriting and editing (applied)
  • Web content strategies and best practice (applied)
  • Advanced HTML (Desirable)
Skills:
  • Innovative thinking and creative communication ideas and opportunities (intermediate)

  • Analytical skills (BI, reporting) and drawing insights from data (proficient)
