- Develop and implement a strategic plan for internal controls audits and non-audit assurance engagements to align with organisational goals and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business objectives and associated risk factors.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of internal auditors, ensuring effective resource allocation, skill development, and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the internal audit function.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of Internal Audits, SOC1, SOC2, CPS 234, and ISO 27001 engagements.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and clear channels of information.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster transformational relationships.
- Identify, assess, and prioritise risks associated with information security, regulatory compliance, and IT processes.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to enhance the overall control environment.
- Degree in a relevant business-related discipline.
- Minimum of 4+ years in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CISA, ISACA, CISM. Membership in a relevant professional body is preferred.
- Extensive experience in IT Audit/Assurance/Cyber including corporate governance, risk and compliance frameworks, business process improvement, compliance management, and fraud control.
- Strong skills in data analytics, continuous auditing, and assurance mapping.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in our tech stack - Google Suite, Microsoft 365, ClickUp, Slack
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Capability to interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements.
