Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.Your project
State-of-art research on power converter technology applied to high voltage / high power automotive applications (traction inverter, high voltage boost converter, AC and DC chargers, rectifiers, integration of electric motor, …)
Study and create power converter models, apply to vehicle model, performance analysis in various situations including V2G (Vehicle-To-Grid) or other applications to clarify requirements (thermal management, conducted noise, etc.)
Research and implement methods to discover power converter topologies for example through optimal control approach and topology generation methods (circuit generation etc.)
State-of-art research and pre-study of different methods and Algorithms of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence that can be used to optimize the control of different topologies

You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
Master or PhD student in the field of electrical engineering, power electronics, electromechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium).
You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
Open minded and keen to work proactively in a multi-cultural business environment.
Highly motivated for mobility, cars and electrification of mobility
Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a simple, clear and visual way.
Experience with simulation tools such Ansys, SPICE, Simscape, PLECS or similar
Experience with visualization tool such PowerBi or similar
