Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.Your project
  • State-of-art research on power converter technology applied to high voltage / high power automotive applications (traction inverter, high voltage boost converter, AC and DC chargers, rectifiers, integration of electric motor, …)
  • Study and create power converter models, apply to vehicle model, performance analysis in various situations including V2G (Vehicle-To-Grid) or other applications to clarify requirements (thermal management, conducted noise, etc.)
  • Research and implement methods to discover power converter topologies for example through optimal control approach and topology generation methods (circuit generation etc.)
  • State-of-art research and pre-study of different methods and Algorithms of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence that can be used to optimize the control of different topologies

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Master or PhD student in the field of electrical engineering, power electronics, electromechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium).
  • You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
  • Open minded and keen to work proactively in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Highly motivated for mobility, cars and electrification of mobility
  • Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a simple, clear and visual way.
  • Experience with simulation tools such Ansys, SPICE, Simscape, PLECS or similar
  • Experience with visualization tool such PowerBi or similar
