Operating across 3 continents and serving some of the world's largest brands we drive technology change in a thriving and fast-moving digital industry.What you'll doAs a Project Manager 2 (PM2) in Computacenter's Projects & Programmes Practice you will manage entire projects or work-streams on larger projects and programmes. These may be stand-alone projects or delivered within a Projects & Portfolio Office (PPO).
You may also be required to lead a less complex Projects & Portfolio Office (PPO). Your scope of activity can range from pre-sales (leading, scoping, estimating and designing the project or assuring the solution), through delivery and into closure.You will need to understand and work with different commercial models (e.g. Fixed Price, Time and Materials or Resource on Demand). Delivery of a successful project will include building and managing your team, ensuring the agreed products are delivered, effective communication, managing project controls (including risk, issue, customer dependencies and change) and providing a high-quality professional outcome to the satisfaction of our customers and other stakeholders.
You'll be responsible typically for projects with a services revenue of up to £1.5 million.Specific tasks include:
- Project Management: Throughout the whole lifecycle, be conversant with and adhere to our methodologies for delivering Professional Services engagements to our customers.
- Change Management: Own or ensure that the end-to-end change process foe the assignment is followed to ensure full awareness, adoption, and use of the projects, to minimize working at risk/commercial exposure & optimize our contribution.
- Business Management: Optimise the assignment opportunities, minimize risk & achieve assignment outcomes.
- Contract Management: Manage the assignment scope and understand the commercial baseline, supporting or leading the development, negotiation, and agreement of the statement of work and any subsequent changes.
- Financial Management: Be responsible for the successful delivery of the assignment to the agreed financial baseline to meet (or exceed) the key performance indicators. There are typically defined and agreed with the sales team and other key stakeholders in the statement of work and cost model.
- Relationship Management: During your assignments, you will create and manage the stakeholder relationships across Computacenter, its suppliers, and customers, ensuring that a positive and constructive relationship is created and maintained.
- People Management: You will be responsible for leading and shaping the team to ensure the successful delivery of your assignment.
- Trained in project management methodology, for example, Prince2 or Agile Techniques.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering less-complex large assignments and successful project outcomes. • Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to apply Emotional Intelligence with flexibility, to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs.
- Able to apply influencing skills appropriately to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders and to enable positive assignment outcomes.
