What the role isThis position is within the School of Business which offers the Diploma in Communications & Media Management.What you will be working onConduct and deliver lessons to full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners in communications/media and/or technology related areasDesign, prepare and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning) as well as to set and mark assessmentsSupport student learning and development through supervision, mentoring, consultations and inspiring students to actively participate in student development activities, events and competitions. This includes coaching students for competitions and leading students for local and overseas learning tripsUndertake industry projects and foster industry collaborationsTake on committee roles and any other duties as may be assignedStay current and responsive to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communitiesWhat we are looking forAcademic training related to Business/Humanities disciplineAt least 3 years of relevant experience in communications and/or media productionAbility to work on interdisciplinary collaborations under the broad scope of digital content; and experience in immersive media production would be advantageousAdept at producing media deliverables using generative AIProficiency in two or more of the following areas:Media writingAudio/Radio productionContent creation for social/digital platformsEditing (Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects)Possess data analytics skills with the ability to interpret and act on data-driven insightsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsHave strong industry linkages as you will be required to manage and support industry projectsAble to work independently as well as in a team environmentHave a passion for developing talent and enjoy working with young adults and adult learnersAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to invest in continuous learning
