- 3 5 years experience working in a similar role
- Experience in either Airfreight, Sea freight and Road freight
- Strong Export and Import knowledge
- Extensive experience on shipshape or cargowise
- Prepare Import & Export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight & volume of consignments that is imported to South Africa or exported to foreign countries
- Verify accuracy in accordance with clients physical shipments & customers SLI, volume, value of goods, country of origin and any other regulatory requirements.
- Attend to Track & Trace of clients shipments Air, Ocean, or Road
- Communicate with clients about their consignment progress
- Coordinate shipping with customs agents locally
- Coordinate with clearance agents overseas
- Deal with prospective shippers, where and when necessary
- Handle any shipment problems that might happen to occur
