The ideal candidate will need the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Health, and Welfare at Work.
  • Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS Management role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
  • Experience developing and implementing EHS management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing regulatory EHS inspections.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance on EHS matters, including training and development, to employees at all levels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure understanding and compliance with EHS requirements, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies to meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems, including necessary documentation and record keeping.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and procedures to identify improvements and ensure EHS compliance.
  • Lead investigations into Health & Safety incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the EHS culture within the organisation.
  • Stay updated on emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices, incorporating relevant changes into company policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and auditors to ensure compliance and address any issues or concerns.
