- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-oriented solutions from major vendors such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
- Provide technical expertise and assist with systems integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments.
- Interface with customers, vendors and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements.
- Create cloud implementation plans, operational documentation, and continual improvement of current systems and designs.
- Conduct cloud assessments, planning, and migration activities for varied application sets.
- Design and implement cloud-based deployment solutions for enterprise applications.
- Guide the migration of legacy systems to a modern cloud platform solution.
- Provides operations, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud applications within all cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 6+ years. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have experience as a Cloud Engineer (AWS or Azure) to include tasks such as cloud migration, cloud networking, IAM, cloud optimization, and deployment automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- At least one advanced cloud certification.
- Proven track record in leadership positions executing cloud migrations and application refactoring.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems.
- Team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment
- Ability to interact positively, collaborate and communicate appropriately with team members
- Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
- Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

- Strong mastery of Azure infrastructure provisioning, security hardening, and architectural design specifically for classified environments.
- Experience in migrating on-premise infrastructure to the Azure environment.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Hyper-V including designing, configuring, and migrating workloads to and from on premise Hyper-V virtualized infrastructure to Azure cloud environments.
- Experience migrating Active Directory on premise to Azure Cloud Active Directory.
- Experience migrating Microsoft Office on-premise instances to Office 365 with Microsoft Teams integration.
- Experience with migrating Microsoft Exchange to Azure Exchange.
- Experience with migrating on-premise SharePoint instances to SharePoint online for classified environments.
- Demonstrated experience with supporting IL6 Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with programming and infrastructure automation (JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform).
- Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for various systems.
- Azure certifications - professional desired, or associates with additional experience.
- Formalized systems engineering methods including but not limited to performing assessment of alternatives (AoA) and business case analysis (BCA).
- Other industry certifications a plus.
