- Associate degree in engineering.
- In school for BS in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or similar field.
- Work with Application Engineering department on various projects.
- Calculate related formulas, record data, and maintain spreadsheet of findings.
- Perform production line work on products to verify engineering concepts and design functions.
- Drafting work using SolidWorks drawing new and existing products.
- Liaison between engineering and production, solving design and production issues.
- Interact with R&D Engineering on new and exciting battery cooling technology.
- Assist R&D Department with the following:
- Air flow testing with a matrix of fan to radiator core distances, different fan ring inlet conditions and varying air flow restriction using various fan simulations.
- Assist with internal cost reduction effort.
- Improve airflow to lower radiator core cost.
- Take air velocity, measurements, summarizing and presenting data in report format as well as reconfiguring the test equipment.
- Assist with reducing noise testing to create quiet radiator. Test measurements and report findings.
- Attend and participate in daily department meetings.
- Handle confidential and proprietary information.
- Assist in other areas of Application Engineering and/or production as needed.
- Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines/procedures.
- Perform related work as required by supervisor.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various environments.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required, detail orientated, and strong initiative.
- Knowledgeable of engineer drawings, blueprints and understanding complex technical writing.
- Must be detailed orientated and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
- Demonstrate maturity, intelligence, cooperation, and discretion.
- Flexibility to work weekends occasionally, if needed, be self-motivated and a problem solver.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of related records, spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office Products.
- Work effectively with fellow employees and independently.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Dependability under both supervised and unsupervised conditions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug, and background test.
