- Work with the Safety Manager to research and complete assigned projects
- Work with Management and represented personnel to improve hazard recognition and human performance as they relate to safety
- Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
- Conduct field surveys and develop JSA's to determine site-specific safety requirements such as equipment specifications, proper personal protective equipment, and safety training
- Updating Lock out Tag out procedures
- Updating machine-specific safety instructions
- Researching and updating templates for safety training
- Hazardous Communication labeling
- Improve basic EHS forms, work instructions and SDS database
- Data collection and analysis to design and/or monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs and initiatives
- Gain exposure to EHS policies and practices
- Must be enrolled in a four year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
- Junior or Senior Level
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have had prior education in OSHA regulations
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction.
- Must possess solid analytical and technical skills.
- Ability to travel within the United States (approximately 10%).
