- Contract and bid review and advice.
- Ensure that material litigation and arbitration in the region have strategy roadmaps, are appropriately resourced internally (commercial and legal), have well managed budgets and workplans to ensure greater likelihood of expected outcomes.
- Understand, consult on, and provide proactive advice regarding complex litigation, arbitration or regulatory matters in the Middle East and provide mitigation strategies.
- Negotiating and advising on complex and high value Professional Services contracts under both international and local jurisdictions.
- Draft and advise on various ancillary legal documents including NDA’s, Settlements, Variations and contractual notices
- Regular reporting and updating on status of all matters in the region.
- Partner with and efficiently manage outside counsel and other legal service providers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to legal matters in the Middle East.
- Legal degree and member of a local bar association required, engineering or management degree or related educational credentials an asset.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience whether inhouse or in private practice, along with other large complex construction projects experience.
- Strong work ethic, superior organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and work well independently and as a collaborative team member.
