Chef Manager - Day Shift

- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Requires 3-5 years culinary experience and 1-2 years management experience
- Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
- Experience running a small kitchen, managing food costs, ordering, conducting inventory
- Computer skills to order on-line and manage P&L reporting
- Ability to prepare a variety of dishes including ethnic or international cuisine
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage the one staff member and interact with our customers
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- In addition to a standard Criminal Background Check a government Enhanced Reliability clearance will also be required upon hire.
