- Design engineering review for constructability analysis
- Provide assistance in reviewing and/or developing structural material volumes for Bills of Materials (Material Take Off)
- Provide support to Fabrication Construction Support Engineering activities as required
- Provide technical support to Procurement, Production, Construction, Engineering, and Fabrication areas
- Interact with other departments such as planning, construction, fabrication, project management, contracts, etc. For clarification, scopes, responsibilities, etc.
- Elaboration and follow-up to the closure of technical queries, deviation requests, requests for information, etc.
- Identification, control, and closure of "HOLDS", workshop and/or design "REDLINES”
- Keep being informed regarding the results of (The key Performance Indicator) measurement and take the required corrective actions
- Interaction with the MTO team for changes in materials specified in the design and changes due to market availability, follow up on drawing updates. Prepare a deviation request document so that there is evidence of the changes in an official contract document
- Elaboration, control, and follow-up of project activity checklists
- Ensure that the documents that have been delivered to document control and nesting discipline, get the construction and fabrication teams; and do a follow-up of the plate cutting files for plate cutting, ensuring these be properly nested
- Preparation of timesheets for rework activities
- Reading lessons learned according to the activity to be developed
- Participate in design reviews and audits
- Promote the reading of the procedures and the search in UNIFI by the elements of the project teams
- Perform safety walkthroughs required by the projects
- Being familiar with the company's internal procedures and processes
- Attend training assigned by HR or supervisors
- Oversee the organization of information in project folders
- Ability to detect when change orders are required and generation of rework timesheets is triggered
- Work with subcontractors to exchange information for shop engineering generation. Generate information packages such as design drawings, formats, lists, mark numbers, etc. Required for a subcontractor
- Participate in the structural discipline, regarding fabrication support engineering for the yard, for the development of the activities of different phases in the execution of a project such as Bidding, Design, Procurement, and Construction
- Carry out and review all fabrication engineering required for ongoing projects. Assist in the BID phase as required
- Any other activities may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or Engineering Services Manager
- Bachelor´s degree or technical career in Mechanical, Civil Engineer, or related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Structural Modeling systems for structural shop drawing used in onshore and offshore construction, such as AUTOCAD 2D, 3D
- Interpretation of drawings for onshore and offshore installations
- Knowledge of national and international codes and standards applied to onshore and offshore structures
- Knowledge of piping and E and I supports
- Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Navis Works
- Basic to intermediate knowledge
- Participate in the elaboration and development of L2, L3, and L4 Structural Lofting procedures of Global procedures used in MDR
- Participate in the updating process of the Job Descriptions of Structural Lofting discipline into the Fabrication Support Engineering Department
- Provide mentoring for any of the elements on the Structural Lofting team
- Identify opportunity areas for training requests, either external or from those the company has available, analyzing the individual skill of specialists
- Ability to analyze the processes used by the department and suggest opportunities for improvement
