Job DescriptionProject Management Officer (PMO)Job DescriptionSummarized Purpose:Primary purpose of the role of the Project Management Officer is to support the PMO organization and support the PM’s by help building the PMO infrastructure. This framework should provide templates and measurement tooling to improve project management effectiveness and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives. Ensures project success by providing administrative and technical support to Project Management Team (PMO) including planning, organizing, and coordinating responsibilities of project administration. Ensures proper maintenance of procedures, guidelines, and documentation. May participate in project or study set up.You will report directly to the PMO-Lead and assist the PMO Team with all steps of the project from initiation to closure but also with general tasks on improving the PMO towards a strong and solid component of the TFS organization. You are inspired and motivated, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. You will have a history of assisting project managers and familiar with extending the PMO concept (ideally in a professional PMO setting) with delivering projects on time and within budget, but also build vital reporting and template structure for all aspects of the PMO realm. Time management and resource management skills are a must, paying close attention to detail, and being accurate and reliable. Contacts are frequent with individuals of significant importance within the company. Contacts involve planning and preparation of communications, requiring skill, tact, persuasion and / or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.Essential Functions:
  • Setup the PMO Framework and manage it (processes and templates to lead projects in scope, costs, and time.
  • Support on running the project resources, cost risks and progress reporting on portfolio level.
  • Support the Project Managers in achieving the project targets.
  • Ongoing performance reviews on project delivery and value.
  • Defining / specifying the PMO Key Performance Indicators and maintain them regularly and analyzing and preparing leadership overviews.
  • Assists on project management ad-hoc activities, producing reports or on study plan edition.
  • Serves as the authority for project teams by demonstrating expertise in the preparation and execution of all administrative functions.
  • Recommends process improvements and training needs to departmental leadership.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Confirmed project management experience, and experience performing effectively in a client facing role
  • Requires excellent organizational, planning, verbal, written, and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and handle multiple project tasks to meet the targets.
  • Strong communication and social skills and proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in team, as well as work independently with moderate guidance
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience using project management methodologies and software

Dutch language skills would be considered as extra. Next to your effective presentation skills you also have the skills to provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements to the PMO processes.You are proficient in MS Office and have well-developed critical thinking skills, including but not limited to: critical mentality, in-depth investigation for appropriate root cause analysis and problem solving.
