About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our team, focusing on managing challenging behaviours and supporting an individual's personal and social development under the NDIS plan. This role is crucial in helping our participant, navigate daily challenges and improve their quality of life.What you could be doing:
  • Providing direct support and care at home and in community settings, adapting to the participant needs.
  • Implementing and adapting behaviour management plans to address and reduce challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect in daily routines.
  • Supporting the participant's participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Using communication strategies and tools to enhance understanding and expression.

What we need from you:
  • Implement and adapt behaviour management plans to address and reduce challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect in daily routines.
  • Support the participant's participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Use communication strategies and tools to enhance understanding and expression.
What we need from you
  • Proven experience in behaviour support within disability services.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural analysis and intervention techniques.
  • Resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative to adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability care, social work, psychology, or related fields are preferred.
  • Driver's license and ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Victorian Government Public Health direction
