POWERING AEROSPACE FUTURE WITH THE NEXTGEN PROPULSION TECHNOLOGYAt HyPrSpace, our mission is clear: to make advanced propulsion technology affordable and accessible for a wide array of applications, from civilian to defense. With our pioneering hybrid rocket engine, we're introducing a new era of aerospace capabilities—more efficient, cost-effective, safer, and sustainable.Joining us :Join the adventure at HyPrSpace, where innovation, collaboration, and humor blend to create groundbreaking advancements in space propulsion. As part of the #SpaceBakers team, you’ll contribute to a unique, patented technological leap, embarking on the full lifecycle development of a launch vehicle. Immerse yourself in an environment that prioritizes a "test and learn" philosophy, ensuring your ideas not only take flight but soar.At HyPrSpace, your work directly impacts our trajectory towards success, offering rapid skill development in an iterative, hands-on approach.Based at heart of the Space and Defense cluster, enjoy competitive compensation, flexible working conditions, and equity through our BSPCE stock option plan. All within the vibrant surroundings of Bordeaux, a nexus of culture, viniculture, and coastal life!Role and objective overview :You will be responsible for the definition, design and integration of mission critical avionics hardware, including but not limited to propulsion control systems.Together with the Engine Electronics team, your goal will be to develop and deliver the subsystem for the suborbital (Baguette-One) and orbital launcher (OB-1) in time and quality for certification and first flight!Your key responsibilities :We will entrust you with the following key responsibilities:- Work with the system team and stakeholders to refine system requirements and functionality into more specific avionics requirements.
- Work closely with multiple teams and engineers, including but not limited to software, mechanical, propulsion and RAMS, to ensure the hardware fits best within the overall system.
- Design avionics equipment from schematic to PCB using KiCAD with high design constraints.
- Perform circuit/sub-circuit analysis/simulation, including reliability and power design.
- Develop and test prototypes of avionics equipment to ensure functionality, performance and reliability.
- Write comprehensive documentation, including specifications, ICDs, BOMs, test reports.
- Follow the entire production process, including liaising with the PCB manufacturer and PCBA factory.
- For some systems/subsystems, you may also decide on the make or buy strategy.Who we are looking for :You are a specialist in PCB design with proven experience in the specification, design and testing of critical equipment operating in harsh environments, preferably space (vibration, temperature...), and have excellent knowledge of analogue circuits, including filters, EMC and circuit simulation.Previous experience in space electronics and an understanding of aeronautical or space avionics design constraints (DAL A to C for aeronautics, ECSS or equivalent for space) is an advantage.Working in our environment you will have the opportunity to develop skills such as Kicad and LTSpice, scripting (Python) and C/C++.As we are evolving and learning fast, we will empower you to propose and test all ideas and improvements regarding tools and methods. We therefore need you to be flexible, adaptable and curious! Are you up for an exciting technical and human challenge?
