Lead general maintenance and repair activities (hands on) on all Instrument equipment in the Wellhead remote jackets at offshore installation, in a safe and efficient manner.Principal Accountabilities
1. Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards set by the company policies and procedures and contribute to this effort by ensuring that fellow workers and others have the same approach.
2. Maintain Instrument equipment in petroleum production facilities and promote the use of company’s Permit to work system.
3. Utilize Maintenance management systems (SAP) and manage warehouse stock inventories.
4. Direct supervision and coaching of Instrument technicians in maintenance and commissioning of the major Instrument activities.
5. Ensure that all changes to Plant & Equipment are recorded in the MOC procedure and carried out under QP policy.
6. Identify specification of various parts and materials required for daily PM / CM jobs and generate spare parts and material requisitions.
7. Participate in multidisciplinary maintenance, repair and operation activities on a routine basis (teamwork).
8. Integrate all CM/PM activity schedules and generate reports & maintain essential record of all activities to the supervisor.
9. Recommend and help formalize all maintenance policies, routines and frequencies; prepare plans for major repair works, overhaul jobs, and/or upgrade or replacement of all equipment and plant on the offshore remote installation.
10. Report all accidents / near misses to supervisor / HES advisor and attend technical training as deemed necessary by the company.
Decision Making Authority
Must be able to gauge the trouble shooting approach and inform immediate supervisor about the job development and must have the ability to report and explain technical issues to onshore engineers or to vendors when required.Context / Special Features / Challenges
Cross departments’ communication skills, team player attitude and effective cooperation with other offshore disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, Construction and Operations to execute instrument jobs.Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
- Minimum Education: Requires a minimum educational background of two years of studies on technical instrumentation matters for industrial applications or diploma granted by an officially recognized educational institution in the relevant country.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar hands-on position in oil and gas field, interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, Facilities & HSE departments to ensure company’s requirements and standards are maintained.
- Good knowledge in interpretation of C&E and P&ID related to Oil and Gas industry. Experience in interfacing with Production and Engineering department’s personnel.
- Instrumentation systems and controls for Well Head control Panels, PLC’s F&G and ESD systems, Remote telemetry units, SCADA, Communication systems, automated chokes, etc.
- Capable of maintaining good interpersonal relations with the ability to work with a multinational workforce.
